The 2nd ATEC International Forum Opened in the Central Academy of Drama, China in the afternoon of 18th May 2007. The Opening Ceremony was held in North Theatre of the Central Academy of Drama. Prof. Xu Xiang - the General Secretary of ATEC, Mr. Yang Guiren - Director of Sports, Health and Arts Education Department Ministry of Education China, Mr. Wang Feng - Director of Education, Science and Technology Department Ministry of Culture, Prof. Dumitriu - Chairholder of UNESCO ITI-Chair, Mr. Wang Xiaoying - Vice president of Chinese Theatre Artists Association attended the opening ceremony and made the speech. About 100 experts and scholars and 300 students from 11 different countries and areas attended the Forum.
In the morning of 19th and 20th, the Forum took place in three sessions. 21 experts made their presentations. The atmosphere of the Forum was active and hot. The North Theatre was overwhelmed with laughters and thunder-like applauses from time to time.
In the afternoon of 20 May, Prof. Liao Xianghong, Vice President of the Central Academy of Drama, China made a public report on the whole Forum. During the Forum, there were three productions presented: Big Magic by the Central Academy of Drama,China, Hyu Cho by Chung-ang University, Korea and Kafka by National School of Drama, Hindu were presented. After each performance, a free discussion was held between the crew and the audience.
On May 21st, the Forum closed successfully.
