Nihon University College of Arts, originated from the aesthetics discipline of French Department in the 10th year (1921) of Taisho era, is a comprehensive art school with more than 80 years’ history. At present, on Egota and Tokorozawa campuses, there are a total of 8 disciplines with about 4,200 graduates and 200 postgraduates, and they have never ceased learning and participating in creative activities with a view to becoming outstanding artistic talents.

It takes time to cultivate best minds, but in recent years, the time to teach and learn is decreasing. Therefore, each student has to continuously improve their attainments in the early stage to meet the requirements of society. The College of Art is the very place for students to develop their mentality, action and flexibility and become qualified talents required by the 21st century.

Just as what is stated in the slogan of “8 Arts, 1 College”, artistic creativity is common regardless the differences between arts field. In the College of Art, sensibility of the 8 disciplines reflects colors and splendor, it demonstrates us the infinite art - cultural world while keeping abreast of the times. Besides, outside the classroom, through club activities, group activities and college activities, students are able to independently create events working with their friends, which is also a major feature of the College of Art. 

Education, research and creative environment have been fully provided for students as expected in The College of Art. The College employs first-class instructor team, which is famous and take active participation in various fields of arts to give meticulous courses, at the same time, in the 16th year (2004) of Heisei, facilities renovation for advanced digital technology on campus has been initiated, and in the 22nd year (2010) of Heisei, completion of renovation for Egota campus has been witnessed.
