University of Theatre and Cinema Ho Chi Minh City is a leading tertiary institution in researching and experiment in the field of theatrical, cinema - television, and photography. The university offers 8 undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in theatre directing, film and television directing, acting for screen and stage, acting for traditional theatre, filming, art design, photography, traditional theatre music performer.

Found in 2009, the University is a non-profit organization under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, with the aim of training and fostering human resources in order to improve the quality of the university's training and contribute to building a culture of Vietnam that is advanced and imbued with national identity.
