On May 18, 2024, the 19th Executive Directors’ Meeting, Directors’ Meeting, and Plenary Session of the Asian Theatre Education Centre (ATEC) were successfully held at the Changping Campus of the Central Academy of Drama (CAD). According to the Bylaws of ATEC, during the Executive Directors’ Meeting, Hao Rong, President of the CAD, was reappointed as the Director-general of ATEC.

In addition, another 11 propositions were passed during the 3 meetings, including the Appointment of Vice Director-General, Executive Directors, and Directors; Appointment of Office Leaders; The 19th Work Report, Final Accounting Report, and Financial Audit Report; the 20th Work Plan and Budget; adjustments to the publication of ATEC Yearbook; and the resolution on the reinstatement of Universidad del Valle in Colombia as a member school. As one of the resolutions of the meetings, the 6th World Theatre Education Conference will be held by Universidad del Valle in Colombia in 2025.
