Director’s Notes

Among this boundless universe with numerous living beings, the Chinese nation covering a vast and fertile territory has given birth to a diversity of humanistic scenes and historical roots classified by 56 ethnic groups. Throughout the ages, folks on each piece of Chinese land has been incorporating their lively customs into ordinary life and passing down from generations to generations. Their genuine and profound emotions have also been witnessed by all times through distinctive folk dance. Every scene presents the evanescence of worldly affairs with extreme twists and turns, which in a whole voices their passion for life and incessant pursuit of a better future.

Synopsis

It is a special presentation of China’s dance drama education integrating multiple ethnic groups and different folk dance styles. The show displays sketch of dance drama teaching and extended education program of Chinese classical and folk dances, including different types of Chinese folk dance art, such as the Chinese classical dance, classical dance of Han and Tang Dynasty, Yangko from northeast China, Shandong Yangko (drum Yangko, Haiyang Yangko, Jiaozhou Yangko), dances of the Tibetan, Mongolian, Dai, Yi and Miao nationalities. All performances perfectly reflect a fabulous and beautiful artistic aesthetic form of the Chinese nation.
